What is an Air Driven Pump?

An air driven pump works on a standard reciprocating differential area principle employing a large air drive piston attached to a smaller hydraulic piston to convert compressed air power into hydraulic power. 

Air-driven pumps are a type of pneumatic device that are used in pumping applications such as:
